Naphazoline is a sympathomimetic drug which stimulates the α-adrenergic receptors. Instillation to the eye causes constriction of corneal vessels, inhibits hyperemia and creates to the patient a sense of immediate relief. Naphazoline in low concentrations is used in minor local eye irritations. SEPTOBORE combines the adrenergic action of naphazoline with the antiseptic substance boric acid. SEPTOBORE contains a special buffer solution and does not cause eye irritation.
SEPTOBORE eye drops is indicated as decongestant for eye relief from the symptoms that accompany mild irritations of the conjunctiva caused by wind, dust, smoke, smog, swimming, contact lenses, eye-strain from reading, car driving or watching television.
