Dry powder for injectionPackaging: BTX1VIAL€0.00Ampicillin/Cooper-1g/vial-BTX1VIAL• Treatment of urinary tract infections from Escherichia coli , susceptible to ampicillin. • Infections due to Hemophilus influenza: pneumonia meningitis, exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, media ottitis, acute epiglottitis. • Infections due to enterococci (Streptococcus fecalis): endocarditis (in combination with an aminoglycoside), urinary tract infection. • Typhoid fever (Salmonella Typhi) when the use of chloramphenicol or co-trimoxazole or quinolone is contraindicated (and since it is shown in vitro sensitivity) • Infections from groups A & B streptococcus, such as tonsillitis, pneumonia and neonatal sepsis. • Infections of newborns in combination with one of the aminoglycosides • Pneumococcus infections (Streptococcus pneumoniae) e.g. pneumonia, acute media ottitis, meningitis. Ampicillin in high doses has been found capable of combating infections from moderately to susceptible penicillin strains of pneumococcus. -
