It works by killing the bacteria that causes infections in your body. Levofloxacin/COOPER solution for infusion may be used to treat infections of the: • lungs, in patients with pneumonia, • urinary disorders, including kidney or bladder • prostate gland, where may be long-lasting infection • skin and subcutaneous tissue, including muscles. These are sometimes called "soft tissue". In some special situations, Levofloxacin/Cooper for Infusion may be used to lessen the chances of getting a pulmonary disease called anthrax, or the worsening of the disease if you have been exposed to the bacteria causing anthrax -
